The River Trent, of the Humber
Usually at slumber
Had a bore
At it's core
Where it would rise
To all and sundry's surprise
From it's tranquil repose
The tidal current rose
Whils't in the Wheelhouse
Sat i, like a frightened mouse
As on the radar screen
A six foot river monster, was to be seen
The ship rose to a new height
As my fear, turned to fright
Yet within moments, it was gone
As the river returned to it's normal calm
