His enthralling eyes pierced
her like a loosed arrow.
Paralyzed and frightened,
She still yearned for him.

For his touch.
For his smile.
For a whisper.
She did not know.

She was a pawn to him,
yet, even a pawn can become
a queen if played right.

He saw himself ******* her slowly,
all the time, staring into her eyes of sapphire.
The candles around the room were burning
brightly as he began to ravish her,
slowly at first, then picking up the pace.

Their entwining bodies caused so much heat,
the candles were extinguished in sorrow
and time fell away as the
darkness fell over them.

Hearts pounding as one,
both drenched in sweat, exhausted,
they fell into each others arms
and slept for an eternity.

They were lost in that moment
and that moment was lost in time.
That night is but half a moments glance
out the window of a speeding train as her
memories have multiplied over the ages.

She can still feel him inside her.
In her mind and body.
She can still feel his
breath on her neck.
She can still smell that awful
cologne he thought was so great.

She can still feel him
with every beat of her heart.
