Save Me From You
Save Me From You
I was happy go lucky
I was wild and free
I didn’t want anyone
Getting their hooks into me
I’ve seen too many friends
Take a bite of loves cake
But I was determined to
Not make that same mistake
I was minding my own business
Living my life on the fly
And in a smoke filled bar, I caught
A glimpse of you out of the corner of my eye
You walked over and whispered in my ear
You said you were here to save me
I told you that I was fragile and
I was fine with being so free
You began to walk away and I felt
My heart heart beating like Hell
I called you back without thinking
Like I was under some kind of spell
I gave you my heart and I lost myself
I was powerless to your witchery
I became a slave to your every whim
Forever chained to you my Miss Misery
You said you loved me but this isn’t
Love, if I’m to be forever blue
You said you were here to save me
So why didn’t you save me from you
