Absolute Truths
We try to simplify the truth
Into one-liners and bold statements
One for alls and all for ones
Metaphors and story lines
Much of what we believe,
Led by intuition,
Thought
And emotions.
Funny how far society decides what you believe.
What truths youβll take to heart,
And what you wonβt.
Funny how far time and tide,
Changes the narrative,
Changes evil into good,
Sympathy into hatred.
Sleep deprived and hungry,
Half formed decisions and recklessness
Riddled memories and fiddlesticks.
