Before you call?
Then try to level the blame.

You couldn't handle the situation.

A family member with mental issues?
One you personally couldn't control prompt you to call the law.

Realize first, even if trained to deal with mental situations.
Most likely nothing nice coming from their arrival.

Any type of weapon puts the situation into another handling.

And when it handles accordingly?
Soon it becomes blame those their to solve it.
The ones you called.

Just remember, in many cases, you knew they weren't taking their medication.
That required to control their issues.


Sure, the news jumps on the story and tries to create a narrative.
But never ask the family why they couldn't get them to take their meds?

Officers, trained in handling certain conflicts.
And even mental issues when have them addressing it to the best of their decision?

You just might not like it.
