The world lost its center and we lost sight of God.
We'll carry on like warriors fighting laughing ghosts.
It's almost like we can still breathe old air long ago.
Jazz ruled. Speakeasy was cool.  Bullets tore holes
in our little lives. Chicago was the kingdom then.
