Maybe if I was different,
If my soul was intact
and the past forgotten.
If I hadn't tried
To embrace the darkness
Beckoning me
From the background.

If I'd looked away
From the sirens call
And instead followed my heart
It would be angels
Instead of devils
Beckoning at my doorstep.
