I was so scared last night
my heart was thundering
the house was shuddering
desperately clenching the earth
violent wind stressing every weakness
the absence of rain ever more sinister

between the resonating terrors
I thought I would crack into pieces
become some weird horrible art
destroyed in a symbolic macabre way

this morning, it continues
Iā€™m a little mouse, shivering
