We live in a land of choice
Where daily choice is made
We either choose to win or lose
In those choices that we make

How many choose the first path they come to
That's filled with weeds and nettles
Veering left and right while losing sight
Instead of the straight path down the middle

We choose those that we hang with
In hopes they don't bring us down
But lift us up from the mire and muck
Where hope in life is found

You may think the choice is simple
But every choice tears at eternity's seam
And the choice you have in your hand
Is where it all begins

So as you live in the land of choice
And every day you build your home
Don't build on sinking sand like foolish men
But on the strength of rock and stone
