Feb 2021
Today, ive awoken
With a lingering
Of tears
I could cry
But withhold
As i fear
That one drop
Would lead to a deluge
That could not be stemmed
So i hold them back
And wipe away
The few leaking dewdrops
That leaked onto the page
On which i write
Of sorrow, and sadness
My tears, like me
Remain alone
A mere drop
In the ocean
A grain of sand
On an empty beach
A dying distant star
It's last flickers
Of light
Begin to fade away
As it disappears
Into the voids, of space
