We can cry
We can complain.
But the narrative lies with the black man

The power of the press carries weight
They put out that tag and you contribute to it
And then you're mad because of it

The summary of this story is about image affecting the black male
But men in general regardless of race
Daily, you hear of robberies
Daily, you inform of killings
Various forms of crime

And if you have to claim gang membership?
Then you're weak from the start
Standing alone is easier than hard

The summary is built your reputation for good.
An image for your mother, kids ,and friend to be proud about
