glass half full/empty metaphor
I wasn’t perfect. far from it, really.
But you weren’t either.
Still, I would have kept choosing you,
if you had only let me.
I would have helped you fight your demons,
if you had only let me.
Only I was willing to look at it as glass half full
You’ve always seen it as half empty.
