Life was black and white until
I met you. You are my rainbow
of crayons I scribble my pictures
on the rough paper of second grade
and give my life seasons and snow
and rivers of grey and blue skies
and green oceans spraying mist upon
my rocky shore. We spoon in candle
lit colors at midnight and find the
truths we'd been seeking since birth.
