I took a little trip
Which somehow went on for too long.
I did not plan for the activity
But reached places I did not want to be in.

Darkness was on the greater side
And only a tiny space for me to escape through.
The scenes had all been witnessed,
But the troubles they had caused still pierced through the surviving heart.

The present reality pulled me back for two seconds,
But the power of negativity was too great.
I made an effort to be stronger and watch the scenes again
And just get over them as quickly as any soul could.

They were haunting and taunting.
However, in the old actuality, they were not that punitive.
How beastly must I had been to be worthy of such affliction.
I guess there just isn't redemption from the terror of the scenes.
