Authors may not be as tough
as some of their characters
or indeed the subject matter
of what they choose to report.

For some reason, be it vocation
or otherwise it was their calling
in life and how often do we see
them assassinated incarcerated
or simply silenced by editors.

Taken off the payroll for telling
us what we are not supposed to
hear, then some of us forget what
it was and who it was that said it.
