Summer is a time for get-togethers
And unforgettable moments-
But this is no love letter
How I miss the snow on the ground
Instead my flip-flops pound and pound
Against hard sweaty cement
Call me a little bent
But in summer there’s no time to repent
Everyone’s too busy having all the fun
I see pictures of babies and toes in the sand
But summer ain’t my season
So I ask mother nature one demand
Let me keep the sun
But throw away the memories
That I never was invited to have
