Poets can't keep secrets. We're poets.
We must express emotion no matter the
truth or consequence. We spill tears.
We ask for your heart and soul. We
scratch blame upon a page like
ancient scribes with prayers to rain
upon the unwashed masses and baptize
you into the church of gracious poets.
