I cannot hold your gaze for too long my love
To do so would break my heart into many pieces
Scattered atop this hill adorned with leaves
"Then hold my hand tighter than ever," she says

To keep your heart wound up with mine
All the while we hold each other closer
Her eyes are but windows into a vast, autumn grove
And her hands warm my cold, crying heart, once more, then twice over
Take this with You.
