Spiraling

a vacuum in my sternum

drinking in the void
gasping for air in the emptiness

I reminisce of distances
leapt
in instances
kept
in memories
forever, lingering

How heavy can emptiness be?
Who am I who sees
not me?

Who are they

who could not stay
and did they ever know
my disarray?

I am

an erratic notion
of emotion
in motionless

vastness

I am spastic
jerking and tumultuous

in the openness

of this
cosmic
loneliness

the endless
hindrance
of the intimate
