Some girls
Make me hesitate
Some girls
Make me think twice
About the years
Spent obsessing over you

I mean

We only dated for a year
I was nineteen, and you
Were twenty-three
But it was a drop of honey
& My brain chemistry

And besides I love them through you,
You should know you're quite dissolved
Quite precipitated
Kind of like my fall

But what never quite leaves me
Is the burn from how you'd smile
What big skies you held captive in your eyes
With strong, muscular thighs
Little golden hairs
And impervious bones of glass

Every angle you bend the sun is genius
And you give it
A shot of firewhiskey
