If trees screamed out in agony
Do you think we'd cut them down?
Maybe just more quickly
But we'd probably just
Start ripping them up
Right straight from the ground.
Until they could no longer
Make a sound
Before we proceed
To chop the trees
Piece by piece
I's before E's
Convenience and ease
Meets unbridled greed
