It was in Cambodia
past days of seventy six
when the Khmer Rouge came
they brained his wife into the uniform
thereafter she renounced him and went with them

He was betrayed
by someone he would
have gladly taken a bullet for
shocked beyond grief and left forsaken
he said, no woman shall ever own this heart again

The Rouge tempest swirled
death and destruction scorch the lands
lies framing torture and revisionismΒ Β stalk and hound
and rogues bandits crazed and mental pygmies rule the hell
*** is calling wok black cowardice and psychopaths the new normal

Years have travelled since
a wife long disappeared to rouge misty ***** clouds
a husband had closed the book of love and healed his mind
sages and monks pray in temples and alley rats say an angel walks
poets write singers sing fantasists talk of love and broken sad hearts
a silent man whispers - but no woman shall ever own this heart again
