They say it’s simple
But I don’t think it is.
Because sometimes
You fall in love
When you would rather
Stand tall.

Sometimes you fall in love
With a stone wrapped
Around your feet
That you yourself
Tied there.

Sometimes you try
So hard to fall in love
You find yourself
Stumbling for acceptance.

And sometimes
You fall in love so gradually
You could’ve sworn
You’d been standing all along
But if that’s so,
How am I
More in love
Than anyone I know?
