Such numbing are you
how you take my breath away
you have poisoned me
in death soon I try to delay

Dear conium maculatum
the wonder killer of a patient age
you run through my body
liken to the black plague

You are a death sentence
a flora most abundant
if only you were sage
I could live a longer age

In ancient Greece, you were a death sentence
in a mild barbaric way
oh lady hemlock
I rest my head and do drift away
