Would you call me cliche?
If I drank Tanqueray
And then asked you to stay
For only another moment
Because I didn't want to ruin it
Because I only wanted another's second's
Grace with you, with me, in your presence?

Would it be a shame
If one day
We looked back
And realized we never quite made it
Made us out to be what we could have?
What we should have been?
