freedom's light burning warm
i didn’t think i would, but when you came into view, i started to sob.
your hand held high, holding the light of freedom and safety.
all i could do through my sobs, was to recite,
"one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
over and over and over again
wishing, hoping, it stays true
I immigrated to America
