December
We plunge into the heart of December,
its cold tendrils wrap around our hearts,
squeezing out the life the summer breathed
into us
we are nothing but a dark, dead *****,
a puppet of winter,
waiting for a New Yearβs Eve firework
to ignite a spark of life
back into
us
