The long wait is over
The totals are in
Vice President Biden
Did clearly win
And soon his administration
Will actually begin
And we the people
Can exhale once again

The long wait is over
With all the votes counted
The roadblocks and obstacles
Were soundly surmounted
And the false allegations
Similarly were discounted
And the President’s high horse
Was finally dismounted

The long wait is over
Now we can rejoice
The people rose up
To raised their voice
Clearly Donald Trump
Wasn’t their choice
See it left him in tears
And his eyes are still moist

The long wait is over
And we’re finally free
From the grips of a mad man
And his tyranny
With the quiet parts spoken out loud
So we could all see
The kind of dictator
That he intended to be
