These last 5 years in America
Have been the biggest threat to democracy
In my lifetime
And I am 51

The slide and slither into Trumpism
Is truly dangerous
Even self-destructive

Are there enough people left
In this troubled land
Who actually care?

It's not dark yet
But it's gettin' there.
