Charles, you can
forget about the tar and just feather me
and I will spread my wings and fly free.

Weathering the storm which appears to be
the new ‘norm’
but no matter how fast you run or how far
you fly
time catches up with you,

by and by we’ll all go to sleep
if only to keep the dreams we have alive.
