You see,
Depression is a funny thing.
The pain and suffering,
That only drowning can bring.

I've watch all my friends succumb,
To a pain I had never dreamed of,
Until I took a moment,
To feel what I had inside.

Then I began to believe,
That nothing hurts more.
It's like you're trapped in a burning building,
With flames covering the door.

And everyone around you,
Is breathing perfectly fine.
While you're drowning in the water,
Trying to push back the tide.
