Dynasties disappear, dreams
die, quality outlives us all, the
hand me downs of history, oral
transitions, traditions in habits,
customs in costume, cloaks adorn,
where long sleeved 'coats of arms'
exist to endure and resist the harsh
inclemencies for Gaels in Irish Rain.

This is a poem about a coat designed
by Michael Mortel (known as Rainman).
