If I don't know my mind
how does my mind know me enough
to know what is me and what is not me

was I bred in the cattle market
to follow the herd and do as they do
all mooing in unison heading for green pastures

while the herders lead from oasis
welding the sticks and yelling instructions
to all  march in line and do as they are instructed

take your big stick to my hide
yell all you like threaten me with the abattoir
leave me in the wasteland but know I am not like you

I do not learn from sight
neither do I want to copy others or be like minded
I know who I am and what I consider appropriate to me
diversity is recognizing our uniqueness not breeding cows and sheep
