I woke up happy and I'm not sure why
The rain is falling from a sunny sky

It lands in puddles on the kitchen floor
Through a brand-new hole in the roof I’m sure
The dog is hungry and the cats want more.

My organic farming had a business plan
With pretty labels on my candied yams

The crops have failed, and the well is dry
I’m having a drink while the chickens die

The truck is broke and the car won't start
The barn is leaning, I can't sell my art

The sows are rooting in the last few plants
What’s left of my garden hasn’t got a chance

I should be grumpy with all this bad luck

With my soggy kitchen and my garden muck
But I'm still giddy in my ***** clothes
With my last tomato tween my piggy toes

I got running water in the kitchen now
Every time it rains it'll wash the sow
And clean the dust off my broken car
I got no fruit to put in cans or jars
I'm just plain happy and sleeping underneath the stars.
