Don’t mean to hide it
Preferring to write it
By night
And by day
I would rather recite it
To anyone willing to listen,
Amused
Curious to decipher
The rhymes that I choose
As the interview
Then can ensue
And resume
The perpetual ego feedback
Loop-de-loop
Nom de plume
Just the guise I assume
Is the one that they want
Although not necessarily
In the right font
But as daunting
As being
Some other non-poet
Can be
I just try to be free
