The Day The Wind Never Blew
The day fell silent
Birds failed to fly
Waves ceased crashing
We wondered why.
The night sky became grey
Black is the new white
Stars refused to sparkle
Dark is not the new light.
Clouds parted temporarily
Like the curtains in our house.
In a trap laden with chocolate
Lay a very confused little mouse.
And so today the wind refused to blow
Whispers were heard from a mile away.
Chaos was the new word on new lips
And still the wind fell quiet today.
