Might have started in a lab of mad scientists
Or a basement in a know nothing town
Your guess is as good as anyone's guess
If there's anyone left around

What was needed was a change of direction
A little action with a wag of the dog
A wave of the hand with the hand of distraction
A little turn of the head, bend over and cough

So they called in the experts are so they thought
No one ever checked their resumes
In all the hustle and bustle something got lost
Along with the souls they all gave away

Not realizing they had created a monster
One that was soon out of control
And it was that monster this time that set things on fire
Not out of need but out of selfish want

A little too late to turn back the clock
A little too late to call it all quits
A little too late to say they made a mistake
Can we have a do-over on all this craziness

Be it early or late outside the starting gate
These ****** tunes should have known it'd be trouble
Hold on tight all you like, your new friend Frankenstein
Is about to burst all of your bubbles
