Sep 2020
Till we're back here
skin and words - two such different things
both at once so immediate
hiding all that simmers underneath
holding on another week
the smell of jasmine in your sheets
four pillows, two minds, and the light from the street
each alone in our heads,
do tomorrow again
till weβre back here, lying together in bed.
