How come
It’s mostly us?
When cops decide
Their guns must bust
Yes it is
In God we trust
But you should
Understand our fuss

Shot seven times
In his back
Oh by the way
The man is black
A white boy
Shot two people dead
But police let him
Go home instead

Paralyzed still
Shackled to his bed
Where he’s going
They haven’t said
What’s the charge
It hasn’t been read
Would they prefer
That he was dead?

We are not
Equally treated
In an instance
Things get heated
Once we’re charged
It’s hard to beat it
When the judge says
Kindly be seated
