I could barely control myself as your hands moved down
my spine, your sublime rhyme so intoxicating, formulating
satisfying similes and sentences across my lean back, my eyes
escaping inside your destination, wanting to be your company
for a long time, our zodiac signs so compatible, everything so
natural between you and me, how you made me see beyond
reality, make me smile and rise, simplify the fractions stacking
up in my palace, how I never stopped glowing, flowing into your
sweet and loving innocence, copacetic consonants, visionary
vowels defined by great minds; my thoughts interlocked
with your heart, and there was no comparison to your spark.

My vows to you were nothing but the truth, the way you mattered
so much to me, the way I could look into your hazel eyes and
know that you were the only love that I needed to breathe,
to believe that you were so real to me, how you filled the empty
holes in my soul, and I wasn’t the same any longer, ever since
I stepped into your flame, tasted your rich and radiant ambrosia,
the gift of eternal life, so invincible, instrumental engines
accelerating, my adrenaline deepening, never did I think
you could unchain undeveloped diction circulating in my space
shuttle, make me over again in your idolized image, providing
me all the love that I ever wanted.
