Arthur Schopenhauer
A philosopher resigned
Did point out a truth
With his pessimistic mind
He described the act of reading
Amidst his perpetual pain
As the practice of true thinking
With another person's brain
I find he is correct
In this mystic point of view
For when I read a book
I become the author too

Jorge Luis Borges
An author much revered
Claimed that when we quote the Bard
We ourselves become Shakespeare
The quintessence of Dust
Yet yearning to break free
Alive in words, words, words
Upon a literary sea
Shall we think transcendent thoughts
And burst our boundaries?
Wisely venture forth, dear reader.
You are my identity.
