Taking a walk in tragedy,
I come out of the dark
the clouds gathered behind me
slowly departing from my form
as the light leached from the
depths of me.

I kneel on my knees
praying for this tragedy
to end peacefully.

I have no more tears
for I sacrificed my sadness
along time ago to depression
and pain.

America has become a prison
as death walks amongst us
freely without punishment.

I once felt sorry for the world
but I became wiser and you
are to blame not me.

The walls are built,
the damage has been done,
these structures we’ve
constructed with our faith
breaks in my hands as I
embarrassed its destruction.

You think the devil lives
in your dreams?

When he’s been walking amongst
us for centuries, burning bridges
and teasing you with riches.

Leaving you poorly misunderstood,
you seek redemption for your sins,
yet you still walk amongst
the shadows.

God knows all, you can’t hide
from his light, for its
revealing the truth.

The vail is lifted and your ghost
ventures forth upon broken wings.

Such things are only possible
in your dreams.

God already sacrificed
his life for your sins
have you forgotten?
