Sallying Forth
The poems and the illness
Might be one and the same
Shakespeare was quite right
To wonder what's in a name
Sickness is the state
Pascal for Christians claimed
And Robert Louis Stevenson
Also suffered the same
Honestly, dear reader,
I think of future fame
But life is suffering
And writing is a game
I try to play it well
Sometimes wild; sometimes tame
Some will say biochemistry
Unbalanced in my brain
Oh! I read a lot of books
Like Don Quixote from mystic Spain
There's a light in the distance
Who drives the bullet train?
