Your silence drowns out my thoughts,
Your voice louder than the echoes of loneliness.
Your words overwhelm my mute resolve,
I hold on to nothing that suddenly seems like everything.
You push me further away,
Beyond your circle where I once had a special place.
The space you once occupied is empty,
And yet memories of your gestures hover in mid-air.
You changing your mind,
You walking away.
You didn't say goodbye.
