Painful events like a knife in your heart
Painful life, not a clue where to start
Memories fading like the moon in the sky
Why do our loved ones have to die
A hollow shell without a soul
Never again will I feel whole
Questions to ask but no one to answer
Flashbacks arriving in the mind like cancer
Loved ones around you giving you strength
They say life’s short but it feels such a length
Wanting to help but feeling so helpless
Fighting for life to achieve mental wellness
A life filled with pain but still I’m so grateful
All in the name of my guardian angel
