Jul 2020
From the first time that I saw her
I wanted just to hold her
Sway to the music
And
Savour the moment
I
Danced in her circles
Fell
Softly in her eyes
I wish that she would notice
How she burns me up inside
I can't sleep at night
She fills up my head
I toss and I turn
And I slowly get burned
Wanting her fire in my bed
Sparks and embers
Coals and flames
An inferno when I hear her name
Dance
Sway to the music
It'll never be the same
Watch the fire growing higher
And I hope it never rains
So close together
So far apart
If I kissed her once
What would that start
Start the fire
I've encased her smile
In a million gems
Followed her curves
Her turns and her bends
Danced with her
Then danced again
Stoke the fire
I wake up in the morning
After smouldering through the night
I hope that we can get together
And set the town alight
Sparks and embers
Coals and flames
An inferno when I hear her name
Dance
Sway to the music
It'll never be the same
Watch the fire growing higher
And I hope it never rains
I hope it never rains
