And just like that,
you were gone.
Like a whisper in the dark,
Or a flash of light,
In a dark field
Where no one saw,
But you.
And just like that
It didn't hurt
The pain I felt was only relevant when your presence touched me
Scraping the surface,
But never truly touching my heart.
And just like that,
I realized,
What we had wasn't real,
Raw,
Or passionate.
And just like that,
I am whole once again.
