The world is but a dream that glows in gold,
That sadly, lesser men have bartered, sold
Her heart is Nature, ailed by Men's designs,
As her bounty they divide and confine,
The birds sing sweet rebellion, defy the hand
That dissect, but do not understand
The world betrayed by Man's tempestuous war
A sordid scheme the righteous mind abhor
