The vaunted you
All that I wanted
For so long
I tried to be
Strong and undaunted
And move on
But ghosts of you haunted
The notes
In each love song
And I was too proud
To admit
That I was wrong
And now you’re correct
I should probably seek help
Before I inflict
Even more harm
On myself
Or the lonely day’s nights
Full of dread’s
Someone else
