Now I know why that look in the mother's eyes
as I stood there waxing lyrical
Off course she could not tell that years ago at a time
she was by the Prophet's name hysterical
I wish I know about father's views on this development
but to me he seemed decent and logical
Sister by all account was accepting and lovingly supportive
and in all very modern and practical
Brother would not buy into it on any account at all
no way on earth can he be that radical
So head-strong and too far gone the bridge was crossed
hopefully the future ahead would be magical
But I'll always remember that look in that mother's eyes
when I was busy waxing lyrical
she must have been wondering why in heaven's sake
I was being so mocking and comical
Inspired by an attempt in Africa when I suggested freeing a ******* goatess in a compound, claiming she should be untied and given water as the sun was blazing hot. this whole family came out to confront me.
